Catherine Davey (Power) comes with a rich background of living and working both in Australia and overseas.Qualifying initially as a GP, and then working in the Middle East and Pakistan, she subsequently trained as a counsellor. She works with both men and women. Over the years she developed a number of interests: these include people processing their experiences from living in different cultures, those seeking to understand how their faith relates to the issues they face in life and the emotional wellbeing of women.Being married and with 2 adult sons who grew up overseas, she is familiar with matters concerning couples and raising children in different cultures.Catherine completed a Graduate Diploma in Counselling, is accredited with CCAA and PACFA as a clinical member, and is registered as a GP with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Fees, rebates, bulk-billing: Catherine is a registered Medicare provider and has a vast experience counselling people with a range of issues. She is able to offer a Medicare rebate for clients who come with a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP.

Catherine utilises a range of counselling modes and enjoys looking at attachment styles and how this impacts on peoples’ experiences of life. Catherine is also qualified to use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
